Two-Wheeler Sales June 2022: Hero MotoCorp Sells 4.85 Lakh Units

Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer by volume, sold 13.90 lakh units first quarter of the Financial Year (April-June) 2022-23. This is a growth of 35.7 per cent over the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year, when the company had despatched 10.25 lakh units. In a statement, Hero MotoCorp announced that the quarterly sales numbers grew 17 per cent over the last quarter (January to March) of the financial year 2021-22, when the company had sold 11.89 lakhs.

Riding high on the popularity of the Hero XPulse 200, the company has announced the 'XCLAN' riding club for Hero XPulse 200 riders.
According to the company, the growth in volumes indicate the continuously improving consumer sentiment and Hero MotoCorp expects the positive trend to continue in the coming months, on the back of a good monsoon, and encouraging farm activity. With sales of 4.85 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters in June 2022, the Company registered a growth of 3.3% over the corresponding month of the previous fiscal when it sold 4.69 lakh units.

Commuter motorcycles are the mainstay of Hero MotoCorp's sales volumes in the world's largest motorcycle market.
Motorcycle sales accounted for 4,61,421 units in June 2022, compared to just 23,446 scooter sales in the month. The company's motorcycle sales in June 2022 grew 4.5 per cent from sales of 4,41,536 units in June 2021. In June 2022, Hero launched the new Passion XTec, an updated commuter motorcycle with new features like LED headlight, full-digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, SMS and call alerts, real time fuel efficiency indicator, side-stand engine cut off and service reminder.
