Is Chennai Following the New Traffic Penalties?

On an interesting note, Chennai traffic police began enforcing penalty structures on the 1st of September in 2019, although the State Government has yet to decide on the matter. As a result, the Government decided to apply these directions in a restricted manner, alongside their improvements on the prices.

Some of the rates have been imposed, while others were recommended to minimize the suggested rates offered by the Central Government. Chennai traffic fines already have remained unaltered for a few additional offences & traffic breaches.
