Tiivra Launches India's First Composite Fiber Helmets, Priced At Rs. 15,000

Mumbai-based start-up Tiivra has launched its first-ever composite fiber helmet, bringing a new offering to the premium helmet segment. The new offering is priced at Rs. 15,000 and the composite fibre helmets are completely made in India. They aim to offer better protection with lighter weight. Tiivra claims the model weighs only 1250 gm, making it one of the lightest composite fibre helmets available, while the model is said to have passed BIS, DOT and ECE 22.05 safety regulations. The company has applied for ECE 22.06 safety norms and expects to begin retailing the same by the first quarter of 2023.

The Tiivra helmet is available with high visibility gold paint scheme and gets six graphics to choose from XRoads, Sabre, Razztazz, T1, Buzzy and Demon. Every Tiivra helmet will come with a race kit with interchangeable spoilers if you plan to take it to the track. There will also be thicker cheek pads as part of the race kit. The helmets are available in four sizes - S, M, L, and XL.

The helmet comes with two fits – Race fit and Street fit, with an extra smoked visor. The helmets will be available for purchase exclusively online on the company's website, while deliveries will begin towards the end of this month. The company is eyeing the premium motorcycle buyers' market with its range tapping into the 200-650 cc segment. The brand will concentrate on domestic sales in the first year while it also plans to export to Europe and the US in the future. The company is eyeing sales of 38,000-40,000 units in the first year and will gradually see the volumes increase.
