Who does not know about muscle cars?

These are called the most badass American cars and give a powerfully wild look along with unrestrained V8 power. They were the ‘monsters and beasts' of sports cars. When we think of the classic muscle cars, the ‘60s are the decade that paves its way. This was their “Golden Age”. But as the reach of muscle cars was highest in the sixties, its origins head back to the ‘50s. An insane amount of muscles were produced during those years. Let us talk about the monstrous muscles manufactured in the ‘50s.

    Chevrolet Corvette

It was a special muscle car, whose production started in 1955 and has seen an 8 generation transformation, as it was a blend of the sports car designs of America and Europe.

    Ford Thunderbird

It was more of a personal luxury coupe. But due to its rather small coupe offering, and 215hp V8 it is still regarded as a muscle car, that too a spectacular one. It allowed the spin of rear wheels without the comfort and style being lost, which makes Thunderbird counted among the best V8 muscles of the decade.

    Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe

The Bel Air Coupe was a powerful beast. It was placed under Chevy's premium models because of the glamorous trim and adequate chrome and two-door hardtop thing. It rose to prominence by the end of the ‘50s with a 265 cu-in V8 option.

    Oldsmobile Rocket 88

This car, by all means, is a legendary creation. It is not just iconic but also a hardcore inspiration for the first rock and roll song. It is the mother of many famous American automotive icons. It was manufactured in 1949 and was smaller in comparison with the luxurious 88. Oldsmobile 88 is one of the significant reasons why muscles became a sensation.

    Rambler Rebel

It was a funny and weird-looking car but was a V8 monster. Rebel became one of the single fastest cars, during its day, on sale. It was named the second-fastest car of the year 1957. The car used a 327 cu-in V8 and a performance transmission which made it a beast muscle of that time.

    Hudson Hornet

Hornet is the most legendary Hudson model. Manufactured in 1951, it used a special “step-down” chassis and some wonderfully good handling. The legendary Hudson Hornet inspired the character of Dr.Hudson in the famous animated film "Cars." It was sadly an under-cherished car and hence was stopped in 1957.

    Plymouth Fury

Better known as a killer car, it was the most powerful V8 muscle of the ‘50s. Fury became its own model due to the strong features and functions it had. In response to this, many of its variants became the best Mopar monster muscle of the decade.

    Packard Hawk

With the most controversial looks, Hawk was one of the most solid muscle cars. It came as a saviour for both its parent companies. It has a new bodywork of foreign exotics and was just a year's wonder.
