These Are The Most Powerful Military Helicopters In The World

Military helicopters often have some redundant systems, making them more survivable when various systems fail in combat. These helicopters are armed with rockets, machine guns, and often anti-tank missiles. These aircraft are some of the most potent weaponry in modern history. Mil Mi-28 (Havoc) - Russia

NATO calls this gunship "Havoc," and it is a Russian-made helicopter. This beast is designed to function in all types of weather conditions and is a fully dedicated anti-armour attack helicopter. The helicopter came into Russian Military service in 2009 but was designed in 1982. About 126 Havocs have been produced until now, and some of them have been exported to Iraq and Algeria. The Russians used this gunship in their Syria intervention.

Kamov Ka-50 (Black Shark) - Russia

The Black Shark came into Russian military service in 1995 but was designed by the Soviets much earlier in 1982. It is a heavily armed scout helicopter. This gunship was the first operational helicopter that sported an emergency rejection system. 

The Kamov Ka-50 has a second variant known as Kamov Ka-50-2, and it is called "the Alligator" by NATO. The second variant sports a tandem-seat cockpit, and the Kamov was deployed by Russia in their Syria intervention.

Harbin Z-19 - China

This helicopter is also known as WZ-19 and is a new Chinese attack and reconnaissance helicopter which came into service in 2012. It is a Chinese combat variant of Eurocopter Dauphin, which is French-designed. It is said that the Harbin Z-19 will fight and support the CAIC WZ-10 attack helicopter in the future, which is much heavier.

Denel Rooivalk - South Africa

The word "Rooivalk" means "Red Falcon" in Afrikaans, and this helicopter is designed and manufactured in South Africa. It took its first flight in 1990, and the South African military got it in 2011. Only 12 of these were ever procured, and these are one of the least used helicopters out there. 

It is a complicated and remarkable piece of military weaponry, and one was written off after an accident. South Africa did a great job with this gunship.

This helicopter is also known as "Hind" and is a large Soviet helicopter that was first introduced in 1972. The Mil Mi-24-Soviet Union is in military service worldwide, and about 2,768 gunships have been produced up until now. This beast is also known as "the flying tank" and is in service across 48 countries globally. It has seen a lot of action in combat and conflicts. 

This beast does not have any direct counterpart in any military and is said to be the deadliest of them all.
