Highlights

When you see Monster trucks, you don't necessarily say to yourself that, 'yes! that could go fast'. It is usually a car that demeans the nature of other cars as you sit atop the world and watch yourself destroy everything in your path. However, with the 'Raminator', it is a whole new story.

The Raminator has set a new Guinness World Record to claim the title as the World's Fastest Monster Truck. During an attempt at the Circuit of The Americas, Mark Hall was able to drive the Raminator to a top speed of 159.4Km/h, thus beating the previous set record of 155.7Km/h.

Under the hood of the Raminator beats a supercharged 9.2-litre HEMI engine that develops more than 2000bhp. So, you might think, with all that power it could easily do more. Well, the monster truck lacks aerodynamic details and the drag makes it go slower than a normal car. So hitting the 159km/h mark is also quite a great achievement.

According to Tim Hall, President and Crew Chief, Hall Brothers Racing, "Taking on the challenge of breaking a world record has been an experience we will never forget. We continue to add to our achievements and are honored to now be a Guinness World Records holder."
