At the unveiling in Hawthorne, California, Elon Musk said, "You will not be able to buy a better car for $35,000, even with no options." He also added that Tesla Model 3 will be one of the safest cars in the world.
Model 3 shares most of its design elements with the premium electric vehicle manufacturer's flagship sedan - Model S. The upcoming Tesla car will come equipped with a 'high-efficiency electric motor' that can accelerate from 0Km/h to nearly 100Km/h in less than 6 seconds. Model 3 will also offer a driving range of over 200 miles along with the choice of all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive.
Inside, it receives a 15-inch landscape touchscreen, Autopilot, and a myriad of automatically-activated safety features. Tesla said production for Model 3 will begin in late 2017 that will ramp up the company's vehicle production to 500,000 units per year.
