- The Cybertruck Prototype has been seen in the public
- Now with this drone shot you get a better idea of its scale
Tesla's engineers have been spotted working on a new Cybertruck prototype at the Fremont factory in a drone shot. The Cybertruck has been postponed to 2023 after Elon Musk addressed challenges around production and cost thanks to the global semiconductor shortage. The Cybertruck prototype has been seen in and around California and Texas where Musk even gave a joyride to controversial podcaster and comedian Joe Rogan who posted photos of the electric pick up.
By the looks of it, Tesla's engineers are installing sensors on the vehicle, and parts of the trim like the bed of the wheel wells are also covered. The images also make the car feel smaller than what it was when it was first shown off in 2019. The images also show off the new large windshield wiper.
One can also see the new side-view mirrors which weren't in the original car as Tesla was forced to add them because of regulatory reasons. Musk in the past has also said that it will be a technological revolution. He said that it will come with upgraded cameras and a new self-driving chip which could make its capabilities more advanced than the current cars Tesla sells. He has also talked about a crab mode and also it could feature a new infotainment system like the new Model S and X underpinned by AMD's rDNA 2 GPU technology that can play triple-A games like the Witcher.
