Suzuki Inazuma launched

Suzuki has finally entered the 250cc segment with the Inazuma. In terms of design, it is a bit odd to look at but it is heavily influenced by the B-King and Suzuki says that this will appeal to the young riders out there. 

 

The Inazuma comes powered by a 248cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. It churns out a decent 25bhp and 24Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It gets Nissin brakes at both the front and rear while the semi double-cradle chassis and the telescopic forks at the front and seven-way adjustable mono-shock suspension at the rear enhance the ride quality of the Inazuma. It isn't heavy either and weighs in at just about 183 kgs. 

 

Features also include an LCD display speedometer and Suzuki has priced the bike at Rs. 3.10 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Inazuma will compete with the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 300, Hyosung GT250R, KTM 390 Duke and the Honda CBR 250R. Suzuki dealers have already started accepting bookings of the bike for Rs 25,000 and say that the delivery of the bike will be given immediately. 

 

Speaking about the Inazuma,  Atul Gupta, Executive Vice President, SMIL, says, "The Inazuma is a practical 250cc bike that expands Suzuki's motorcycle portfolio into the premium segment which is showing growth potential. We believe that the Inazuma will be attractive for the youth, college students and motorcycle enthusiasts in metros."
