Steelbird Group India has hired internationally renowned helmet designer and former Dainese R&D Director Massimo Varese to spearhead Steelbird's helmet production in India. Varese has been associated with several reputable brands in Europe and has over 25 years of experience in production. Massimo Varese has been associated with Italian brands such as Dainese S. p.A. as R&D Director, Mavet s.r.l. as CEO, AGV S.p.A. as R&D Director, and held key positions in several other brands, in operations, production and R&D roles.

Varese's joining Steelbird may be the beginning of a new era for the Indian helmet manufacturer. With the world's largest two-wheeler market to cater to, as well as growing a global footprint, Steelbird may be increasingly looking at embarking on to newer global markets, and that is primarily what Varese will possibly be tasked with. At the same time, Steelbird may be looking at launching a premium and world class range of helmets to meet not just the domestic market demand, but also to foray into emerging and even developed markets.
