Skoda's all-new compact sedan, the Slavia has crossed an impressive 10,000 bookings milestone, within one month after its launch. Skoda has launched the car in two engine options in India, a 1.0 litre TSI petrol, and a 1.5 litre TSI petrol unit, with no diesel mill on offer. Both the engines come mated to 6-speed manual transmissions, and have automatic gearboxes as an option. While the 1.0 litre petrol unit gets a 6-speed torque converter automatic as an option, the bigger and more powerful 1.5 litre petrol comes mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic. The 1.5 litre unit also gets cylinder deactivation tech, a first-in-its-class feature aimed to increase fuel efficiency under lighter loads.
