In a bid to ease movement of local traffic, three-lane service roads have been constructed on both sides.
The new stretch of elevated roads has been developed to access 6 Lane controlled corridor with an aggregate elevated section of about 7 km at a capital investment of about Rs 2000 crore. In a bid to ease movement of local traffic, three-lane service roads have been constructed on both sides. This section would also provide connectivity to Delhi and Gurgaon through Delhi-Mumbai expressway, Nitin Gadkari mentioned in a series of tweets.
The new elevated road will bypass multiple crossings and densely populated areas in a bid to create a smooth transition between NH8 and Sohna.
As already mentioned, it's a rather good news for office commuters as in recent times Sohna and South Gurugram have turned out to be a preferential area for office spaces as well as residential societies. That said, it is also leading to increase in traffic in the area and hence the new National Highway was the need of the hour. The new elevated road will bypass multiple crossings and densely populated areas in a bid to create a smooth transition between NH8 and Sohna. Moreover, the elevated section also helps in minimising accidents on the same stretch barring local folks from these densely populated to walk-in or drive onto the highway without watching for the oncoming traffic, which was one of the major causes of accidents on this stretch of NH8 and Sohna Road.
