Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan Brings Home A Brand-New BMW M8 Coupe

Ace cricketer Shikhar Dhawan has brought home a brand-new BMW M8 Coupe. The new BMW M8 Coupe was launched in India last year and is the most powerful BMW coupe model ever sold in our country. Earlier this year, it also bagged the 'Performance Car Of The Year' award at our carandbike Awards 2021. The BMW M8 Coupe was pitted against the Audi RS7 Sportback and Mercedes-AMG GT 63 four-door Coupe for the performance category. Essentially, it is the 'M' performance version of the BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe.

The two-door model gets the swept-back headlamps, sculpted bonnet with muscular character lines, wide kidney grille, and aerodynamic creases on the sides. The split taillights taking prominence at the rear, while the bumpers look aggressive and sport larger air intakes and sportier alloy wheels. The M8 Coupe uses carbon fibre in abundance, especially for the roof, while the flared Aluminium wings with M gills and M8 designation emphasise track width and wheel size. The model comes with a rear spoiler lip, M-spec rear diffuser and a double flow exhaust system with twin tailpipes.

The BMW M8 Coupe is powered by the 4.4-litre V8 twin-turbocharged motor.

The car gets a 10.25-inch infotainment system, Merino leather upholstered seats, ambient lighting, Harman sound system and M Sports seats, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, BMW display key, park assist plus and 12.3-inch instrument cluster among others. Under the hood, there is a 4.4-litre V8 twin-turbocharged motor, which is one of the most powerful engines from the German carmaker. The motor produces 592 bhp and 750 Nm of power figures and comes paired with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. It also gets an M-spec xDrive all-wheel drive system that sends power to all four wheels. It clocks triple-digit speeds in just 3.3 seconds.
