Royal Enfield Tour of Bhutan 2014 kick starts
Royal Enfiled has kick-started the third edition of the Royal Enfield Tour of Bhutan. 'The Tour of Bhutan' is a 7 day motorcycling experience in the Himalayan kingdom that will traverse through the eastern ranges namely the black mountains and the Shivaliks. This year, 20 riders are part of this journey that goes till Bhutan.
The participants start from Siliguri in West Bengal and ride to Thimpu from Darjeeling through Phuentsolling, Paro, Bumathang, Tashigang and finally return to Guwahati covering a distance of 1,500 kilometers on their Royal Enfield motorcycles.
Speaking on the Tour of Bhutan, Shaji Koshy, Senior Vice-President Sales & Marketing, Royal Enfield said "The Tour of Bhutan is one of the most scenic rides in our tour calendar that promises unique sights and sounds of the Himalayan region. This marquee ride in the eastern region will have great roads and sweeping turns in the midst of picturesque landscapes that will provide a 'pure motorcycling' experience to each of our participants"
"The Tour of Bhutan flag off also coincides with Royal Enfield One Ride, a ride that celebrates every Royal Enfield rider, anywhere in the world. One Ride takes place on the first Sunday of every April and on this day we encourage all Royal Enfield owners across the world to ride their motorcycles with their friends and family" added Mr. Koshy.
More than 100 riders across Darjeeling and Siliguri gathered at Siliguri to celebrate One Ride 2014. Enthusiastic participants travelled from Siliguri to Sevoke along with the Tour of Bhutan contingent.
