Royal Enfield has launched the much talked about Thunderbird 350X and 500X motorcycles in India. The RE Thunderbird 350X is priced at Rs. 1.56 lakh, while the Thunderbird 500X is priced at Rs. 1.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Thunderbird X get modern upgrades to the styling, while retaining its old-school engines. The bikes comes with alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, short handlebar and the Gunslinger single-seat. The headlamp gets a smoked projector lamp while the LED taillight has been retained. The bike gets matte black treatment that compliments that contrast finished fuel tank colours. The 350X is available in white and red colours, while the 500X is available in orange and blue.

The Royal Enfield Thunderbird X range also continues to use the same engine and gearbox as the standard offering on sale. The Thunderbird 350X is powered by a 346 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine tuned for 19 bhp and 28 Nm of peak torque, while the Thunderbird 500X draws power from a 499 cc motor that churns out 27 bhp and peak torque of 41.3 Nm. Both versions come paired to a 5-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks up front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking performance comes from disc brakes at the front and rear.
