Renault Sport Teases new Race Car ahead of August Debut

As the dates of Motorshows come closer, car manufacturers start creating a curiosity among the people by revealing teaser images; something that Renault Sport has done. Renault Sport has released a teaser image for a "simply spectacular race car" set to be unveiled in August.

 

The company has said that the vehicle was designed exclusively for the World Series by Renault competition which will include a brand new category next year. The car features a carbon monocoque built by Dalara while power will be provided by a Nismo engine delivering more than 500 bhp.

 

There is a 7-speed sequential gearbox provided by Sadev which powers the wheels, while Michelin will be in charge of fitting the cars with a new tyre which is designed with the competition in mind. TFrom what we can see it will also get a large fixed rear wing and Renault Sport says that the car will weigh 1100kgs.

 

We will get to see the car at the Moscow Motorshow in August and we can't wait to see what Renault Sport has managed to conjure.
