Fuel prices in India have been increased for the sixth consecutive day, witnessing a hike of up to 42 paise per litre in the metro cities, and up to 50 paise a litre in tier 2 and tier 3 regions. As per Indian Oil Corp's official website, in the nation's capital Delhi, petrol is being retailed at Rs. 109.69 per litre, while a litre of diesel will cost you Rs. 98.42 per litre. At the same time, petrol prices in Mumbai have reached Rs. 115.50 per litre, while diesel is being retailed at Rs. 106.62 per litre.

As for other metro cities, customers in Chennai will have to shell out Rs. 106.35 for a litre of petrol and Rs. 102.59 for a litre of diesel. In Kolkata, petrol has crossed the Rs. 110 mark and is being retailed at Rs. 110.15 per litre, while diesel prices have reached Rs. 101.56 per litre. In Bengaluru, petrol prices today stand at Rs. 113.56 per litre and diesel costs Rs. 104.50 a litre, while in Hyderabad, the two fuel types are being retailed at Rs. 114.12 per litre and Rs. 107.40 per litre.

Fuel prices continue to remain the most expensive in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar, as consumers are paying Rs. 122.32 for a litre of petrol and Rs. 113.21 for a litre of diesel.

Fuel prices in Maharashtra's Navi Mumbai region have touched Rs. 115.57 for a litre of petrol, and Rs. 106.68 per litre for diesel. Whereas petrol and diesel prices in the Parbhani district of Maharashtra have reached Rs. 118.65 per litre and Rs. 108 per litre, respectively. Having said that, fuel prices continue to remain the most expensive in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar, as consumers are paying Rs. 122.32 for a litre of petrol and Rs. 113.21 for a litre of diesel.

In Madhya Pradesh's Anuppur district, petrol has touched Rs. 121.44 per litre, while diesel costs Rs.110.66 a litre. In Bhopal, petrol and diesel prices have reached Rs. 118.46 a litre and Rs. 107.90 a litre, respectively. In Rewa, consumers are paying Rs. 121.02 for a litre of petrol and Rs. 110.27 for a litre of diesel.
