New Yamaha YZF-R25 Launched; Coming to India As Well
Highlights
Yamaha, the Japanese bike maker has today launched the much awaited YZF-R25 in the Indonesian Market. What makes it a special news for India is the fact that the same bike will come to our shores as well by next year. First showcased as R25 Concept at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, the new bike was put up on display at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo as well, where it received a great public response.
Inspired from Yamaha's YZR-M1 racer, the new bike has reverse-slat twin headlights, an air duct, LED rear lights and shift timing indicator identical to the YZF-R1, while other features are derived from previous YZF-R designs.
Built on a tubular chassis, the YFZ R-25 derives its power from a 250cc, liquid, cooled, two-cylinder, four-stroke engine, capable of churning out a maximum power output of 35bhp and 22.1Nm of peak torque.
Since the production ready model is almost similar to the concept, its dimensions are almost unchanged - 2090mm length, 720mm width and 1135mm height.
The new bike will take on the likes of Ninja 300 and Honda CBR250R.
