Highlights

Volkswagen India launched a slightly updated Vento along with a new 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission some time in 2014. However, the company seems to be working on a major facelift of the vehicle, which might be launched here in the second half of 2015. In fact, the updated Vento has already been spotted in Russia - where it is sold as the Polo sedan.

While the Vento received only new head-lamps and alloy wheels in its last update, it will receive an all-new front, and a slightly different rear in the next update. The spied pictures reveal that the new Vento will get a Passat-inspired grille, an all-new bonnet, and a Jetta-like lower front part that gives it a more premium feel. Talking about the rear profile, the vehicle gets a chrome strip on the all-new bumper.

The updated Volkswagen sedan might also see some mechanical updates, though the engines will most probably remain unchanged. That said, the company hasn't revealed any information about the product yet.

Expected to be launched during this year's festive season, the updated Vento might be a tad expensive as compared to the current model.
