The new Mahindra Scorpio is arriving soon in the Indian market, but ahead of its debut in the coming months, Mahindra released a new teaser video of the SUV, partially revealing the front section. Dubbed as the “Big Daddy of SUVs”, the new Mahindra Scorpio will feature significant changes to take on the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Nissan Kicks, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and even the Tata Harrier as well as the Jeep Compass in the Indian market.

The latest teaser reveals more of the car than the previous one. The front section is partially revealed with the LED twin-pod projector headlamps and LED fog lamps that we've also seen on multiple test mules. Also visible is the large chrome grille stacked in slats with the new logo positioned between it on the high and sculpted bonnet. The large ORVMs are also hinted at in this new teaser video.
The new Scorpio will also feature an ample dash of chrome on the door handles as well as the beltline. The new Scorpio will also feature black cladding with skid scuffles across the profile suggesting its strong road presence, and bold SUV looks. The rear also gets chrome treatment on the rear bumpers with chrome highlights on the faux exhaust sitting on the rear diffuser.

The teaser video also hinted at the new Mahindra Scorpio being loaded to the gills with all the latest bells & whistles. This could suggest that the new Scorpio, like the Mahindra XUV700, could come with the Level 2 ADAS feature, a first in the segment. The interior of the new Mahindra Scorpio is not a complete mystery, as we recently reported the SUV to come with a large landscape-oriented touchscreen dominating the centre of the cabin.
The new Scorpio will also get dual-zone climate control, drive modes, ESC, and much more. The SUV is also said to be quick, but the numbers are under wraps for now.

Power to the new Mahindra Scorpio will come from Mahindra's new 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine that is good enough to develop 150 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque, while the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine would produce 130 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. Transmission on both versions is expected to be handled by a 6-speed manual and an optional 6-speed torque convertor automatic unit. It is also expected to come with a mild-hybrid tech that would offer better fuel efficiency.
