New KTM 200 Duke Spied Testing In India
Highlights
KTM has been testing the new generation of its Dukes on the road in recent months. The new 390 Duke was spied on Indian roads earlier this year and now the new 200 Duke has also been caught testing. The new 200 Duke gets a design carried over from the upcoming KTM 390 Duke.
The design carries over design elements such as the prominent fuel tank extensions and tapering tail. The exhaust is also an underbody unit similar to when the Duke range was first introduced in India. The new 200 Duke also gets a new rear subframe with a single-sided swingarm and off-set rear mono-shock – a set-up also seen on the new 390 Duke test bike. The bike featured disc brakes at both ends with the front getting the lightweight unit seen on KTM’s new 2022 range.

Also visible was a digital instrument screen though it remains to be seen if this could be shared with larger KTM models in the range.
Coming to the engine, the 200 Duke is expected to get a revised version of the existing 199.5cc liquid-cooled single cylinder unit. The current 200 Duke develops 24.6 bhp and 19.3 Nm of torque with power sent to the wheel via a 6-speed gearbox.
Expect the new 200 Duke to debut alongside the rest of the updated range sometime in 2023 with an India launch likely to follow.
