New-Generation Chevrolet Cruze Makes Its Debut
Highlights
Talking about the design, the new-generation Cruze takes its inspiration from several high-end Chevy models including the Chevrolet Volt EV that made its debut at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. The vehicle features Chevrolet Camaro-inspired grille, projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights angular tail-lamps, all new bumpers, etc.
The vehicle's cabin, too, looks completely new with a new dashboard, piano-black finish centre console, new dual-cockpit design, new MyLine infotainment system with 7-inch touch-screen display, leather wrapped multi-function steering wheel, a new instrument console with a color MID, and few other features. As far as the safety features are concerned, the 2016 Cruze gets 10 airbags, active rollover protection, ABS, ESP, forward collision alert, lane keep assist, side blind zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert, etc.
The India-bound model of the car is likely to come with two engine options - a 1.6-litre variable geometry turbo-charged diesel and a 1.4-litre Ecotech turbo petrol.
