Mercedes-Benz India is all set to launch the 2015 edition of its popular premium hatchback A-Class today in India. Featuring some considerable cosmetic updates and mechanical changes, the new generation Mercedes-Benz A-Class will mark the 15th and the last car to be launched by the German carmaker in 2015.

First publically displayed at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class, feature an array of improved style cues when we talk about looks. In terms of design upgrades, the front fascia of the new 2015 A-Class comes with a revised air dam and a pair of new head lamps along with optional LED DRLs. The car looks a lot sleeker now thanks to the new character lines that we see on its side profile, while the rear end remains quite similar, except for the new LED tail lamps.

As for the inside of the car, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz A-Class looks a lot similar to the out-going model, but what's changed here is the upgraded materials with new colours trim for the dashboard. The center console now features a bigger 8-inch touchscreen that comes as optional. Some other new features include Sahara Beige / black leather in the Exclusive package and even smartphone integration including Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink, making it the first in its segment to do so.

Under the hood the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class will come with the same 1.6-liter petrol and a 2.2-liter diesel engine, but now he A 220 CDI will see a boost of 6bhp which will take the tally up to 174bhp. Transmission duties will be taken care of by a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, a first for the car. The "ECO display" also takes a new form to assist the driver in maintaining an environmentally friendly style of driving offering lower CO2 emissions and improved fuel efficiency.
