Recently we shared with you the first images of the production-ready new-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire. Now, we have come across a new set of images that reveals the cabin of the new Swift Dzire. You have seen that the exterior of the new-generation model is a lot more premium and well-equipped and that same principle has been followed for the cabin as well. Despite the fact that the new-gen Swift Dzire shares its exterior styling and design with the next-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback, which was showcased at Geneva, the cabin of both the cars are a completely different from each other.
The new-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire comes with a similar dual tone black and beige treatment like the current model but the design has changed completely. The new dashboard looks sharper and comes with pretty nifty features. For the first time in a Swift Dzire, Maruti Suzuki has used wooden inserts below the centre AirCon vents that comes with chrome surrounds. There is a large touchscreen infotainment system, probably the one used in the Ciaz and Baleno and other dials and buttons below it.
The Swift Dzire also for the first time comes with a flat bottom steering wheel with leather wrapping and wooden inserts. The three-spoke steering wheel also comes with controls music and telephony. There is a new twin-pod instrument panel and what looks like a vertical LCD display at the centre of the two pods. The test mule seen here appears to be the automatic variant and the gear lever looks different and more premium and it is also missing the clutch paddle. We do not have a proper view of the seats, but we expect to see some changes there as well.
Other features include an all new front section equipped with projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, new alloys, flared wheel arches, new LED taillamps and a new front and rear bumper.
The new Swift Dzire will be powered by the same 1.3 litre DDIS unit but this time it will come with the company's mild hybrid system - Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS). On the other hand, the petrol version uses the tried and tested 1.2 litre petrol engine. The engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox will be standard along with an options AMT unit for the diesel version and a 4-speed auto box for the petrol version.
