Now, we have already told you that the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Ertiga might debut the company's new 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine to replace the existing Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre diesel engine, and will likely come mated to this new 6-speed manual gearbox. There is no word on the petrol version getting any mechanical updates, so we expect the existing 1.4-litre K-Series petrol engine to be carried over, along with the 5-speed manual gearbox. It's also possible that Maruti Suzuki might replace the 4-speed automatic torque converter with its tried and tested AMT system sourced from Magneti Marelli.

The Indonesia-spec Ertiga measures 4,395 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width, and 1,690 mm in tall, while the wheelbase, however, remains unchanged at 2,740 mm, and these, we believe will be similar for the India-spec model. The MPV will also come with LED daytime running lamps, LED taillamps design, high-mounted LED stop lamp, a new tailgate and a new rear bumper among others.
