Bajaj Auto, the home-grown motorcycle giant, that recently rolled out three all new Pulsar models - RS200, AS200 and AS150 in India, is now planning to launch one more bike within next 2 months. The bike this time will be the much-awaited Pulsar 150NS that is likely to replace the existing 150. Like the AS150, the 150NS too will be based on the new perimeter frame. When compared to the existing 150 DTS-i model, the NS model will see improvement in power and torque figures.

The new Pulsar 150 NS shares its styling with the larger 200NS. The bike gets sporty design, new instrument cluster and split seat. It is powered by the same 150cc 4-valve, twin-spark DTSi engine that also powers the AS150. This engine is good for 16.8bhp of power at 9500rpm and 13Nm of peak torque at 7500rpm. Power is transferred to roads via a five-speed gearbox. It rides on 17-inch alloys with 80/100/R17 front and 110/80/R17 rear tubeless tyres. The suspension mechanism comprises of telescopic upfront and monoshock unit at the rear.

The Bajaj Pulsar 150NS is expected to be priced at Rs. around Rs. 75,000, while the semi-faired model is tagged at Rs. 79,000. It will compete against the likes of Suzuki Gixxer, Honda CB Unicon 160, Hero Xtreme Sports and Yamaha FZ F1 V2.0.
