Mitsubishi Teases the Outlander PHEV Concept-S
Highlights
Mitsubishi has published two teaser images of the Outlander PHEV Concept-S which will be introduced next month at the Paris Motor Show.
We first saw the Outlander PHEV at the Paris Motrshow a couple of years ago, and this time the Concept-S, according to the car manufacturer, brings in a special package to the table. The concept gets revised exterior and interior styling that further enhance the Outlander PHEV's unique driving experience.
Though Mitsubishi is yet to provide details about the changes on the outside and/or under the hood, we are sure it will look pretty much the same and will be powered by the 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This engine will be seen working with two electric motors and a 12 kWh lithium-ion battery to provide a combined output of 200bhp and 337Nm.
We won't speculate on the numbers, but we are convinced that the PHEV Concept- S will deliver more than the PHEV. The Outlander PHEV can run for 55Km on electric power and about 800Km in hybrid mode. So the question here is, what can we expect from the Concept-S? We'll find out soon enough.
