Mini Has A Pokemon Concept Car That Can Be Connected To A Video Game Console
Highlights
- The car comes with a built in projector
- It also has the ability to interface with a game console
- Mini hasn't revealed which consoles can be connected with it
BMW owned Mini has tied up with Pokemon to develop a Pikachu themed concept car which aptly is all electric. The car was revealed at the Gamescom Opening Night Live event. The car can also be hooked up with a video game console and you can project your gameplay from the car itself as it has a built-in projector.
Mini has used the Aceman concept for the collaboration which was first revealed in July. It comes with a Pokemon mode that is installed on this particular car where Pikachu takes over the vehicle’s main display when it is turned on. It involves digital lightning bolts travelling across the entire dashboard.
The fact that one can hook up one's game console and then use the external projector on the car to display the gameplay on whatever surface the car is parked against is quite cool. It goes without saying you would need a dark environment and a smooth surface on top of which you project the gameplay on.
Weirdly, Mini hasn’t revealed which game consoles are compatible or how one could add controllers to the vehicle. Right now, this is a concept but this would be quite cool if one could attach a PlayStation 5 or Xbox One Series X to this car.
