If you've closely tracked Mercedes-Benz in India, you must have seen a sharp spike in the range of products they now boast of. After the 'Year of Offence', it is now time for the 'Year of Excellence' and it shows. The German car manufacturer has brought out close to 9 products this year and there are more in the pipeline.

These products range from facelifts to all-new cars but beside that they have also managed to expand their AMG portfolio in India to 8 cars; the GLA 45 AMG being the last of the lot. But if you thought you weren't spoilt for choice, well, think again because there is more instored. Mercedes-Benz will be bringing in the B-Class facelift to India soon and we'd first laid our eyes on this car at the 2014 Paris Motorshow.

It's one of the most successful models for Mercedes-Benz in recent times, selling over 350,000 units since its second generation launched in 2011. The Sports Tourer was first launched in the petrol avatar in India while the diesel came in a little later but it has tasted success nevertheless. The company is now set to bring in a facelift version of the B-Class which will appeal to the younger crowd.

The exterior sees subtle changes but the front and rear bumper have been resculpted to appear sportier. Even the LED daytime running headlamps are now integrated into the headlamp cluster. The inside will see a host of changes like metal inserts, carbon fibre finished dashboard, and red stitching on the seats and steering. There will also be 12 ambient lighting themes in the car.

What is also in the pipeline is an AMG trim and this will make things very interesting. We expect the B-Class to come to India early next year but before the end of this financial year.
