Mercedes-Benz C-Class will soon add a new model to its line-up - a convertible. The upcoming C-Class Cabriolet has been teased ahead of its global premiere at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show next month. Mercedes-Benz also debuted the SL roadster, and the SLC roadster and Mercedes-AMG S65 Cabriolet at the 2015 LA Auto Show and 2016 Detroit Auto Show, respectively.

While the carmaker is yet to reveal details about the convertible, it is expected to come powered by Daimler's 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine. However, words has it that Mercedes-AMG C43 and C63 are in the works too and may arrive soon after the C-Class Cabriolet.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet will be based on the MRA platform which also underpins the C-Class sedan. Additionally, it will likely get a soft-top instead of a hard-top, much like the new E-Class Cabriolet.
