  • It will be available only with the T8 variants with the mHawk100 engine
  • Mechanically and feature-wise the TUV300 remains unchanged

Mahindra TUV300, the popular sub-4 metre SUV from the homegrown SUV manufacturer, will now also come in a new dual tone colour option. The newly introduced colour scheme is a combination of a silver body with a black roof and blackened side pillars along with dual tone front and rear bumpers. Mahindra has also announced that this special colour option will be available only with the top-of-the-line T8 variants with the mHawk100 engine with manual gearbox. So, customers who would like to order the new dual colour variant will have to pay Rs. 15,000 over the asking price of the T8 variant, which is Rs. 9.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Mahindra says the new dual colour combination has been carefully chosen to add to the style quotient of the TUV300 and increase its appeal amongst urban buyers. That said Mahindra dealerships across the country have been already offering the similar dual tone colour scheme like - Red and Black, Blue and Black to customers for an additional cost. So, the reason for Mahindra officially coming out with a dual tone TUV300 could be to cash in on the festive mood.

In addition to the newly introduced silver and black share, the Mahindra TUV300 comes in 7 different shades of Verve Blue, Dynamite Red, Molten Orange, Glacier White, Majestic Silver, and Bold Black. Mahidra also introduced a made-to-order Bronze Green option during this year's Independence Day. For other colours and variants in dual tone, there will be an option of black / white roof decal available through Mahindra Genuine Accessories as well.

Announcing the launch of this new dual tone TUV300, Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, Automotive Division, Mahindra and Mahindra, said, "The launch of the new silver & black dual tone TUV300 will build on its aspiration quotient by dialling up on style and exclusivity, and thus further enhance the brand's appeal. We are confident that this new colour scheme will soon become very popular among our discerning customers and fans."

The aforementioned mHawk100 engine is a 1.5-litre diesel motor that churns out a maximum of 100bhp and develops a peak torque of 240Nm, which comes with the option of either a 5-speed manual gearbox or an AMT unit. Mahindra also offers a less powerful derivative of the oil burner - mHawk80, which comes in two states of tune - 84bhp and 81bhp for the manual and AMT trim respectively.
