The Mahindra KUV100 couldn't make the kind of mark as the company had hoped for but the automaker is looking to change that with the comprehensively updated NXT version that has started to arrive at dealerships. The new Mahindra KUV100 NXT is expected to go on sale in the following days and gets a plethora of upgrades including cosmetic changes, new features and a re-jigged variant line-up. The recent images emerged online showcase the heavily re-reworked Mahindra KUV100 NXT at a dealership. Even though overall silhouette remains the same, changes are distinct and noticeable to the exterior. The car gets an updated front bumper that gets new mesh and gets more plastic cladding around the fog lamps. The bumper has been tweaked to merge more seamlessly with the grille on the car for a fresh new look. A faux skid plate finished in brushed aluminium is also seen at the front and rear. At the rear, the KUV100 NXT gets new clear lens taillights with chrome bezels inside, and a revised bumper along the lines of the front unit. The wiper also sports a different design.

In addition, you get revised headlamps on the Mahindra KUV100 NXT while the grille takes inspiration from the updated Mahindra XUV500. Reports also indicate the KUV has seen a slight increase in its length and now measures 3700 mm, as opposed to 3675 mm. Lastly, there are a new gloss black and chrome finished 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels on the NXT.

Inside, the Mahindra KUV100 continues to be a six-seater with the top-end models finished with an all-black interior and brushed silver inserts for the premium touch. The lower trims will get grey interiors instead. While the overall layout still remains the same, Mahindra has now added a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the top-end KUV100 K8 trim. The unit offers audio and navigation support. Sadly though, Android Auto has been not been included for now. That said, we do know, the connectivity feature will make it to the model in a year. Other features remain the same including auto climate control, steering wheel mounted control, height adjustable driver's seat and much more. Additionally, Mahindra is expected to offer dual airbags as standard on the KUV100 NXT, reducing the variant count on the model.

In terms of powertrain, the Mahindra KUV100 NXT will continue using the same 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engine options, while paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. Expect to see improved NVH levels on the model and better sound insulation as well.

With the host of changes, expect to see a marginal hike in pricing of the Mahindra KUV100 NXT. The model will be taking on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Honda WR-V, Hyundai i20 Active among others in the segment. We expect an official announcement from the company soon. Keep watching this space for updates.
