The information was shared with us during an exclusive interview with Klaus Zellmer, Board Member for Sales, Marketing and After Sales at Volkswagen Passenger Cars, for the latest episode of Freewheeling with SVP. He spoke with carandbike's Editor-in-chief Siddharth Vinayak Patankar.

When asked about the company's export plan and how it aims to manage the production capacity for both domestic and export markets, Zellmer said, "Currently we are managing supply. As you know the semiconductor supply shortage keeps us very busy in terms of producing enough cars to cover the market demand globally. That puts a limit into our current reach, in terms of Pune for example, to increase production volumes to invest more and to see what countries, especially Latin America would be the right ones to export. We haven't progressed very far in that aspect but it's always on our agenda to check those opportunities as well."
