Skoda Rapid Facelift Launch: Highlights
The Rapid now gets a refreshed front end, with the new familial Skoda grille, new bumpers and new headlamps as well. Also, the car might get LED lamps, newly designed alloys and chrome to give it a premium look. There are updates to the interior as well. A 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with MirrorLink, reverse-parking camera will be offered on the top-end variants.

Skoda has major plans for India. The Czech manufacturer has promised to launch four new vehicles before the end of 2017. While we will come to that later, the highlight is the launch of the Skoda Rapid Facelift which happened today.
The 2016 Skoda Rapid now gets a refreshed front end, with the new familial Skoda grille, new bumpers and new headlamps as well. Also, the car might get LED lamps, newly designed alloys and chrome to give it a premium look. There are updates to the interior as well. A 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with MirrorLink, reverse-parking camera will be offered on the top-end variants.
The Skoda Rapid Facelift gets the new 1.5-litre diesel engine, which was first seen on the Volkswagen Ameo. It produces 108bhp and 250Nm. The 1.6-litre MPI petrol engine will be carried over from the current model. As far as transmission options are concerned, the Rapid Facelift gets a 5-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG (Only on the diesel engine though). ABS and dual airbags will be a standard feature on all models.
