Lamborghini India will launch the latest derivative of the Huracan with the new Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica. Sharad Agarwal, Head, Lamborghini India confirmed the news on his Instagram page. The new Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica slots between the road-focused Lamborghini Huracan RWD and the track-bred Lamborghini Huracan STO. The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica is said to offer the best of both, having been developed for use on the road and being thrown around on the racetrack. The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica gets its own bespoke design changes with a look partially derived from the Lamborghini Sian for improved aero over the standard RWD Huracan.

Starting with the powertrain, Lamborghini has lifted the 631 bhp V10 straight from the STO with power still going to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica though gets its own tune for the LDVI system to bring out different characters of the car. Rear-wheel steering is standard and the Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica also gets its own unique suspension set-up along with a modified traction control system that allows you to break traction at the rear in select modes. In terms of performance, Lamborghini claims a 3.2 second 0-100 kmph sprint time for the Tecnica with a top speed of 325 kmph.
In Strada mode the car's system is tuned for comfortable everyday driving with Sport designed to maximise driver fun – the rear-wheel steering enhances oversteer while the traction control allows for greater wheel slip. Throttle response and gearchanges too are sharpened. Corsa is meanwhile designed to provide for the best lap times with all systems calibrated to demonstrate “maximum precision and agility”.
Inside, Lamborghini says that the Huracan Tecnica gets a redesigned HMI interface specifically for the model. The digital instrument display panel reduces colours and emphasises readability while the central touchscreen puts the “fun-to-drive” elements such as the LDVI functions in easy reach of the driver. Buyers can also option on bits such as lightweight door design and harness seat belts.

The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica is 61 mm longer than its sibling and gets its own unique bumper with air curtains and a new front splitter to help improve aero as well as direct air to the brakes to improve cooling. The company says that the rear window is also larger than on other Huracan to help improve visibility out while the engine cover too is unique and is done in carbon fibre to save weight.
The rear bumper too is new and features redesigned vents for improved engine cooling along with a new hexagonal exhaust. A fixed rear wing provides 35 percent improved downforce over the RWD with drag also said to be 20 percent lower. The underbody of the Huracan Tecnica also gets new aero deflectors to improve aerodynamic efficiency. Rounding out the looks are 20-inch Damiso alloy wheels.
