Highlights
- The Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae's India launch is on June 15
- It will be sold in limited numbers
- It will be the last of Lamborghini's non-electrified V12 supercars
Italian supercar marque, Automobili Lamborghini, will launch the new Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae in India on June 15, 2022. This special variant of Lamborghini's flagship model sits between the performance-spec Aventador SVJ and the Aventador S, and it is offered in both coupe and roadster body types. And both options are expected to be launched in India. Now, Lamborghini has created the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae in a numbered series, and globally, the coupe version is limited to 350 units, while only 250 units of the roadster will be made. This means India will get these cars in very limited numbers.

Now earlier in April 2022, Lamborghini had announced that the last unit of the Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Coupe will be put up for auction on April 19. This means it is likely that the cars coming to India have already been sold to customers. This is because, for models like the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae, which are made-to-order, it usually takes months from the time a customer places the order, to the time they get the delivery.
Powering the LP 780-4 Ultimae is the most powerful V12 engine of the Aventador line, which makes 770 bhp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 720 Nm at 6,750 rpm. The car comes mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission and offers a top speed of 355 kmph. The Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 2.8 seconds and 0-200 kmph in 8.7 seconds in the coupe version. It will also be the last of Lamborghini's series production, non-electrified V12 supercars, as the company has confirmed that its next V12 supercar will be a plug-in hybrid with the company aiming to electrify its entire range of cars by 2024.
Lamborghini has made extensive use of carbon fibre in the chassis construction, which amounts to a dry weight of just 1,550 kg that, combined with the four steering wheels, offers superior driving performance. Visually the car looks exceptionally sporty, while the Lamborghini has specially designed the body kit to achieve a greater aerodynamic load on the front of the car, with longitudinal performance like the SVJ. The Engine and radiator cooling has also been optimized by implementing the front splitter, the open "vent" and the front and side air ducts.
