Hungarian two-wheeler brand, Keeway has launched its third model for India, the K-Light 250V V-Twin cruiser priced from Rs 2.89 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The company had showcased the cruiser alongside two other scooters – the Vieste 300, Sixties 300i – in India earlier this year with bookings also currently being open. The K-Light 250V is available in three colours – Matte Blue (Rs. 2.89 lakh, Matte Dark Grey (Rs. 2.99 lakh) and Matte Black (Rs. 3.09 lakh). Deliveries are set to commence from mid-July.
The 250V follows the typical cruiser motorcycle design with a more steeply raked front end, stepped seat design and forward set foot-pegs for a more relaxed riding position. Up front the K-Light gets a telescopic front fork with a hydraulic suspension set-up at the rear. The bike gets a LED headlamp up front with a circular LED DRL design housed within an angular headlamp pod. The 20-litre fuel-tank similarly gets some angular design elements as well. The tail-lamps are LED units as well.

Like in other cruiser-style motorcycles, the K-Light gets a staggered tyre set-up with a 120/80 section tyre up front and a wider 140/70 section tyre at the rear. The tyres are wrapped around 16-inch alloy wheels. The seat height is set at 715 mm while the motorcycle has a kerb weight of 179kg.
Coming to the engine, the K-Light 250V is powered by a 249cc, V-Twin engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The unit puts out 18.4 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 19 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. Power is sent to the wheel via a belt drive system compared to most manufacturer’s chain drive system. Stopping power comes from single disc brakes on the front and rear with standard dual-channel ABS.

Coming to features, the K-Light gets a digital instrument cluster as well as some connected vehicle technology. The tech functions via an integrated GPS unit with SIM card to connect to the Keyway App and share not just location-based data but also allow for remote engine cut-off, setting up of a geo-fence, maintaining ride records and setting max speed limit. There’s also a panic button that will share the bike’s location to two pre-selected contacts.
Keeyway says that the K-Light comes with a standard 2-year, unlimited km warranty. The company is expected to launch a further five new models in India before the end of the year.
