Jaguar had revealed the F-Pace prototype only a few days prior to its debut as the support vehicle for Team Sky at Tour de France. Following the announcement, the Jaguar F-Pace prototype finally made its debut last weekend at Tour de France. Meant to be a teaser of the upcoming production car, the prototype was wrapped in a special livery and also sported a bespoke bike rack. The rack was developed, specifically for the stage, by Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) and carried 2 Team Sky's Pinarello Bolide Time Trial bikes.
The F-Type prototype marked its presence as the support vehicle for Team Sky's riders Ian Stannard, Luke Rowe, Peter Kennaugh, Leopold Konig and Chris Froome during Stage One of Tour de France. The route that started from Utrecht, the Netherlands is 13.7Km long.
The British carmaker will unveil the production version of the Jaguar F-Pace in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show, whereas its sales will begin by early 2016.
