Is Tesla Preparing A Ride-Hailing Service?

- Tesla is preparing a ride hailing service called Tesla Network
- Via driver profiles, Tesla will customise cabs with customer data
- This way people will feel at home inside a Tesla even if its not owned
Tesla could be preparing to launch its own ride-hailing service. Hacker, GreenTheOnly has revealed that Tesla is preparing to move all driver data and settings on to the cloud ahead of the launch of what could be called "Tesla Network" which could be its ride-hailing application.

Now, driver profiles exist already in Tesla vehicles and are linked to keys, phones, sea settings, mirror settings, music settings etc -- basically, the driver profile sets up the vehicle the way you would want it to be. Tesla is increasingly linking more and more features to the Driver profile as these vehicles become connected and become entertainment hubs. Tesla cars now have high fidelity video games as witnessed by the new updates in the Model S and Model X and are also home to streaming platforms.
These profiles are coming to the cloud as GreenTheOnly reveals as it wants its users to feel at home even if they are hailing a ride and not driving themselves. "Tesla is preparing to move profile items to the cloud so when you get into any Tesla car your profile migrates with you (based on your phone app I imagine) - this includes games and other app settings and such in particular," GreenTheHacker explains.
