Now, there is a reason why Embarq has named this exciting tour package - the Silk Route Road Trip. Apparently, Kyrgyzstan, which is touted to be the Switzerland of Asia, is a landlocked country that was once used for transporting silk and spices from China and India to the European continent, and the riders and drivers will be exploring these ancient routes on this trip. Embarq claims that all the paved roads on this tour were a part of the ancient Silk Route, which also hosts the world's second largest alpine lake, the Issyk-Kul. It is located to the north of India.

This doesn't mean that participants will not get any off-roading action in this trip. In fact, the real beauty of Kyrgyzstan is in its unpaved and off-road routes, which the road trip participants will get to explore in the pristine mountain passes through a route that offers a mix of both paved and dirt roads. The tour of the Silk Route in Kyrgyzstan starts and ends in the country's bustling capital, Bishkek.

The most interesting part of this travel experience is that Embarq will provide the motorcycle and the car required for this trip to the participants, which is included in the tour package cost. While the motorcyclist will get to explore the beautiful valleys of Kyrgyzstan on a Yamaha XT 600 bike, the drivers will put to test the Toyota 4Runner SUV through the rough terrains of this beautiful Central Asian country. Embarq will also arrange for vehicle insurances as well.
