It rides on a chassis that was tuned tuned at the legendary Nuerburgring race track in Germany and comes with the GM-patented reinforced Watt linkage. The all-new Chevrolet Cruze's design comprises aggressive-looking head-lamps, one-piece LED daytime running lights, and dual-element U-shaped tail-lights, etc.. Inside, it gets Chevrolet's signature dual-cockpit design, which is further complemented by a butterfly-shaped center console and contemporary two-tone sporty leather trim. It also gets features such as cruise control, keyless entry, push button start, heated seats, and Electric Parking Brake (EPB).
GM is offering the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze with a choice of two petrol engines: a 1.4-litre direct injection turbocharged engine and a 1.5L direct injection engine. The former, mated to a seven-speed DCG transmission, generates 147.5bhp and peak torque of 240 Nm. The 1.5-litre unit develops 113bhp and 146 Nm of maximum torque and is offered with a new six-speed DSS transmission or a six-speed manual transmission.
GM will launch a total of 5 new models, including the new Chevrolet Cruze, in India over the next two years. The other names on the list are the Chevrolet Beat Activ, next-gen Chevrolet Beat hatchback, Chevrolet Trailblazer facelift, and Chevrolet Essentia sub-compact sedan.
