Highlights

Hyundai India has added the new CX trim to its Verna line-up, which has been positioned between the existing EX and SX trims. Launched in both fuel options- the Verna CX petrol and CX diesel are priced at Rs 8.07 lakh and Rs 9.28 lakh, respectively. Powering the CX petrol is the 1.4-litre VTVT petrol mill, which churns out a maximum power output of 105.5bhp, while the CX diesel has 1.4-litre CRDi diesel mill that produces 88.7bhp.

Having equipped with a bunch of exciting features, the new Verna CX proves to be a good value-for-money car. The list of features include Anti-lock braking system, climate control, steering mounted audio controls, airbags, rear view camera, rear disc brakes, parking sensor and several other features. The CX trim also gets alloys as standard feature.

Along with the introduction of the new trim, Hyundai has also discontinued 1.4-litre EX and 1.6 EX automatic variants. Also, the Verna 1.6 SX model now comes with an automatic gearbox, which was earlier available as an option. The top-end SX (O) variant gets additional features like side and curtain airbags and speed-sensing door locks.

The introduction of the new trim at an affordable price range, might help Hyundai Verna do well against the all new Honda City, which in no-time became the top-selling C+ segment sedan. Earlier, the Verna was enjoying the top-spot in the segment.
