Hyundai India Spreads Awareness to Preserve Heritage Monuments

Hyundai India launched a new program under its global CSR campaign. Called the 'Happy Move-Save Our Heritage' the Korean car maker has associated with the Archaeological survey of India to spread awareness on the Indian Heritage monuments and its preservation.

    Hyundai India launched a new program under its global CSR campaign. Called the 'Happy Move-Save Our Heritage' the Korean car maker has associated with the Archaeological survey of India to spread awareness on the Indian Heritage monuments and its preservation.

    Hyundai's CSR is centered on four pillars - safe move, happy move, green move and Easy move. 'Save our heritage' is the theme of the second CSR pillar 'Happy Move'. In this program the company will conduct an awareness drive starting from January 11 to 21 with 100 Happy Move Global Youth Volunteers. Out of these students 80 hail from Korea and 20 from India, and these children will visit sites like Safdarjang Tomb, Firozshah Kotla, Qutub Minar and Old Fort. At these heritage sites, the volunteers will undertake activities to upkeep the amenities, maintenance of gardens and will conduct awareness activities to educate the visitors on the value of these heritage sites.

    Furthermore, to spread the message among children, volunteers will also conduct school contact programme at Sarvodaya schools at Chanakya Puri, Daryaganj, Mehrauli and INA colony. As part of the initiative volunteers will undertake school premises cleaning, school wall designing, maintenance of gardens and design competitions for a positive and conducive study environment.
