Highlights

Right ahead of its global debut in India on July 21, 2015, Hyundai has released the official exterior and interior design renderings of the Creta compact SUV. The car is based on Hyundai's 'Fluidic Sculpture 2.0' design philosophy - same as the ones we have seen on multiple cars including the new the Hyundai i20 and the Santa Fe.

"Creta design follows a premium look, based on Hyundai Motor's evolved design philosophy. Harmony between a bold front, voluminous side, sporty rear and other details complete the premium SUV's design," the company said in a statement.

While the Creta looks like a mini Santa Fe from the outside, the cabin of the car looks similar to that of the i20. It features the same dual-tone dashboard, 3-spoke steering wheel with audio and phone control buttons and the touch-screen infotainment system.

Though the company hasn't officially revealed the engine options the Hyundai Creta will be offered with, we expect it to share its powertrains with the Verna, i.e. the car might have the same 1.4-litre petrol & diesel and 1.6-litre petrol & diesel powertrains that do duty on the Verna.

Talking about its dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,270mm in length, 1,780mm in width, 1,630mm in height, and will have a wheelbase of 2,590mm.
