Choosing your new car? It is always a subjective choice, although one that you can make practically as well, depending upon your specific needs and requirements. There are of course some factors that will influence the choice and they include the following:

- What is your ideal or desired budget/price range?
- Will you buy a used car or a new one?
- What will you use the car for, i.e. will it be for your daily commutes to work? Will you be driving more in the city or need a car for long-distance and highway driving? Will it be only for yourself or for the entire family? Do you intend to go on long trips or even off-roading in the future?
- What is the fuel efficiency of the vehicle?
- How affordable are servicing and maintenance?
- What is the overall reliability level and availability of spare parts and service centres of the brand?
- Do you want higher performance and punch or do you want more practicality?
- What is the size of your garage?
- What are the features that you absolutely want and what are the ones that you can do without?
- What is the level of safety that you want with the car?
Once these questions are answered, you will have naturally got an idea as to the car that you have to buy. In that case, you should narrow down 2-3 models and then test drive them and see which one you are most comfortable with.
Some tips on car choices
- Do your homework and research on the various types of models and brands in your chosen car category.
- Always take your chosen car for a test drive and see how it performs, before closing the deal.
- Angle for the best deals and discounts as much as you can.
- Compare prices across variants and competitor car models, checking which features are present and absent likewise.
