Honda Unicorn Now Offered With Cashback Of Rs. 3,500

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced the same cashback scheme on the Unicorn as on its other models. The offer is valid till June 30, 2021 and is available only if the buyer opts for EMI schemes via an SBI credit card. The minimum transaction needed to avail this is Rs. 40,000. This means that SBI card holders need to spend at least Rs. 40,000 from their card on purchasing the Unicorn in order to avail the cashback offer. HMSI is also offering cashback on other models like the X-Blade, Shine, Hornet 2.0, Grazia 125, Activa 6G and Dio. The offer may differ or include more models in other parts of the country as well. The best thing to do would be to call your nearest Honda dealership and ask for the running offers.

The Honda Unicorn 160 gets a BS6 compliant 162.7 cc single-cylinder engine with fuel-injection and Honda Eco Technology (HET). The engine makes 12.73 bhp at 7,500 rpm and the peak torque output stands at 14 Nm at 5,000 rpm, up from 12.8 Nm on the older model. The BS6 Honda Unicorn can be bought in three colours which are - Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black and Imperial Red Metallic. The bike also gets single channel ABS as standard and seal chain for low maintenance. The BS6 Unicorn also gets six-year warranty package (3 years standard + 3 years optional). The BS6 Honda Unicorn is offered in just one variant and it is priced at Rs. 97,356 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

In other news, HMSI announced that it has commenced operations at select manufacturing plants. According to a press statement from HMSI, the two-wheeler manufacturer has resumed staggered operations at three of its plants - Manesar in Haryana, Tapukara in Rajasthan and Vithalapur in Gujarat. The company is yet to resume operations at its Karnataka plant in Narsapura. The two-wheeler maker had temporarily halted operations at all four plants amidst the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
