Honda Cars India today announced to voluntarily replace airbag inflators of 2,23,578 vehicles in India as part of the company's preventive global recall campaign. The affected models include previous generation units of the CR-V, Civic, City, and Jazz.

The company says that the replacement would be carried at all Honda Car dealerships across India starting from October 12, 2015. The replacement will be carried out free of cost, and the company will communicated with customers directly.
Honda customers can also check if their car comes under this campaign by submitting the 17 character alpha-numeric Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on www.hondacarindia.com - Honda's official website.
