Honda Navi Chrome And Adventure Edition To Be Launched This Year
Adding two new variants to its popular new mini bike, Honda has announced it will be introducing the Navi Chrome Edition and Navi Adventure Edition in the country later this year. Both models get cosmetic upgrades and will be available with a host of new accessories.
Both the Chrome & Adventure editions will be launched in 2017
The new editions were showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo
The editions will be priced at a marginal premium over the standard Navi
While the standard Honda Navi may have impressed us all, the Japanese manufacturer plans to improve the mini bike's appeal a notch further and has announced that it will introduce two new editions - Chrome and Adventure - later this year. The new editions offer cosmetic improvements on the Navi and were originally showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, amidst a number of other variants. At the time, Honda had said that it will be offering most of the add-ons as official accessories when the Navi goes on sale.
At the award function itself, Honda folks had promised that there will be something more coming soon and well this seems it. Not much is known about the new variants yet, but going by the Navi Adventure edition showcased at the expo and is more about bringing out the adventure quotient. So Expect to see special new decals, tall windscreen, carrier, hand crash guards, headlamp as well as engine guard and a storage box added to the model. The black and beige paint scheme looks smart on and complements the bike rather well. That said, the Navi Adventure Edition will be no Africa Twin off-road prowess.

Moving to the Honda Navi Chrome Edition, the variant as the name suggests will be all about the bling, so expect to see chrome crash guards and headlamp cluster. The side panel will also be finished in chrome instead of brushed aluminium, while the complete bike will be finished in a gloss black paint job. While the Chrome Edition will feature a black seat, the Adventure Edition will get a dual-tone seat to match the colours of the bike.
Honda Navi: The Adventure edition was showcased at the Auto Expo 2016
With respect to the powertrain, the Honda Navi Chrome and Adventure Editions won't sport any changes and will continue with the 110cc single-cylinder engine tuned to produce 8bhp at 7000rpm and 9Nm at 5500rpm. Given that Navi is lighter by 7 kg over the Activa, the power-to-weight ratio certainly fares better here. Other features include telescopic front forks, 12-inch tyres and wide handlebar. Prices for the standard Navi start at Rs. 39,648 (ex-showroom, Delhi); however, expect to see marginal hike in prices for the new editions.
