Honda Launches Sporty Mobilio RS Kit in Indonesia

Following the success of the Mobilio in the Indonesian market, Honda is now leaving no stone unturned to take it a notch up. For example, the addition of a new kit option on the top-end trim, Prestige.

    Following the success of the Mobilio in the Indonesian market, Honda is now leaving no stone unturned to take it a notch up. For example, the addition of a new kit option on the top-end trim, Prestige, of the MPV's lineup i.e. the Mobilio RS. It will be available in both, manual and automatic transmissions; while the manual variant will cost 203.5 million Rupiah (Rs 10.19 lakh), the automatic version comes with a price tag of 214 million Rupiah (Rs 10.72 lakh). Other than that, this new kit also brings along a slew of upgrades to its exteriors and interiors, and additional features.The MPV was first launched in Indonesia in January this year, and has garnered excellent sales, 35,550 units to be precise, since then.

    In terms of exteriors, it features changes like revised front and rear bumpers, an Aero Body Kit, roof mounted spoiler, segment first LED projector headlight with light guide, twin-slat chrome grille, chrome exhaust finisher and redesigned 15-inch alloy wheels. The Prestige RS variant is available in seven colour options: Carnelian Red Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, White Orchid Pearl, Brilliant Gold Metallic and Bronze Metallic Ionized.

    The cabin gets a primarily black contour with silver accents on AC vents and internal door handles. Then there's also the chrome finished gearknob, which adds to the charm. Talking about features, the Prestige RS gets a 6.1-inch colour screen in the centre console, in addition to a reverse parking camera, multi-function steering wheel, speed sensing auto central lock and tweeters.

    Honda Indonesia is also offering free regular maintenance for 3 years/50,000 kms and an extended warranty for 5 years/1,40,000 kms for an extra fees of 4.9 million Rupiah (Rs 24,555).
