Honda E Limited Edition Launched In Europe Backed By F1 World Champion Max Verstappen
Highlights
Honda and Red Bull have been very close in the recent past. So much so, despite leaving F1 at the end of 2021, Honda propelled Max Verstappen to his first F1 world championship beating out all-time great Lewis Hamilton. Piggybacking on this collaboration, Honda has launched a limited edition of the Honda E electric car hatchback which will only have 50 units created with the sole purpose of being sold in Europe and the UK.
The new limited edition model gets new exterior styling including crystal red paint with contrasting black accents and badging on the front and rear with 17-inch alloys in black.
It is based on the advance grade Honda E trim which also includes front heated seats, heated steering wheel, side cameras, fill-width dual screen, 230-volt outlet, Honda Parking pilot, sky roof, Honda sensing and my Honda+.
This car which is now being promoted by even Max Verstappen has a price of $46,310 in the UK which makes it slightly more expensive by $1,453. Verstappen drove the car for the first time in April on the sidelines of the Emilia Romagna GP which the Dutchman went on to win.
"The Honda e Limited Edition is simply lovely. It has funky looks, a compact design and is fun to drive. It's a great electric urban vehicle,” said the reigning F1 world champion.
It gets 132 bhp of power via a single motor in the base model. Of course, the Limited edition is based on the advance trim which gets a more powerful 149.2 bhp single motor setup with 315-newton meters of torque with a 35.5 kWh battery that provides a 220 km range as per the WLTP standard.
